4/5⭐ The layout and approach of this book are great. It packs in a lot of essential information without being overwhelming or bloated. Many of the step-by-step instructions have corresponding diagrams. The projects are varied in style, function, customization, and difficulty level. A very approachable, comprehensive bag sewing book.

Anna40 I‘d love to make my own bag! Do you have a sewing machine? 6mo
hissingpotatoes @Anna40 Yes! It's a Brother XR3340, but you really only need one that does straight and zigzag stitches if you don't want to hand-sew. I've made a few bags by cobbling together patterns from other books/websites: a farmer's market tote, an open shoulder bag, a small cross-body, and a tube bag to hold plastic bags. I now want to replace my purse and will be cobbling together the three messenger bag styles in this book to do so. 6mo
