A gripping love story from the bestselling author of Fractured. Emma Marshall can't wait to marry her childhood sweetheart, Richard. But then a tragic accident changes everything, and introduces a stranger, Jack, into her life. Gorgeous and mysterious, Jack is like no-one Emma has met before. But Richard is the man she loves... Two different men. Two different destinies. How will Emma end her story?

This started unconventional but it pretty soon lost its “cuteness factor” to me because I found it‘s too much cliché and too cheesy. So in a way I must blame myself because I perfectly knew what kind of book I checked out. It was an okay “background entertainment” while doing chores or commuting but I often caught myself rolling my eyes and wishing it all wouldn‘t be so obvious.

Bottom line: Will soon be forgotten.

Hard to find time to read at the moment. See above my current audiobook. Nothing sophisticated. And I gotta say, it‘s in parts really predictable and, oh my God, there are scenes where I strongly feel external shame. When she first visits his cottage and when she falls asleep on the couch. ? It should be forbidden to write such cheesy stuff full of cliché.

(I know it‘s my own fault, I wanted light entertainment.)

Took me forever to read it! But I enjoyed it. Nice love story that started in tragedy.

I read this for a Facebook group and we aren't discussing the book until the end of July. I won't really review until I've had a chance to discuss it with the group. I'll update after posting my review there!

Having enjoyed fractured by the same author I was expecting good things from this book however it was far too predictable and cheesy for me. Overall I would say it's a easy sunbed read. No concentration required.
