Silence and Secrets
Silence and Secrets: A Jewish Woman's Tale of Escape, Survival and Love in World War II | Yvonne Carson-Cardozo
1 post | 2 to read
When she suffered the tyranny of silence, of not having a voice, Yvonne ended up keeping horrible secrets. In her courageous memoir, she breaks the chains of silence and reveals an incredible story of evading the Nazis, escaping the threat of annihilation, surviving in strange worlds, and finding love and a new life. This book is a testament to the human spirit.

Was honored to hear the author speak today. I look forward to reading this book. It will not go to the bottom of my TBR list. At 88 years old and having lived in the US for over 50 years, she said she is still afraid, every day. Afraid to say she is Jewish. I'm so glad she wasn't afraid to write.
