Concise and well researched. Boorstin's work may come across as dense to some but he's rarely dull. Would have liked more focus on non-western civilizations but that is to be expected given his specialty field.

http://modernmrsdarcy.com/quiz I'm joining in on the fun. This fits me pretty well. So do some of the others posted🤷🏻♀️.
I found this book in my brother-in-law's collection, & it brought back good memories. It's long, but worthwhile & quite fun. I remember the section on time, from the stars & church bells to water clocks, & finally to portable devices. It was the first big gift book that I read, & to my delight Boorstin's book is just plain interesting & readable. Maybe I'll get to its match, The Creators, one of these days.
I love reading non-fiction! I always feel blessed to have a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips. These authors are all so passionate about their fields and write interesting books that anyone can understand. #nonfictionlove #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
