This looks good. Also - so does the one next to it.

So my bedside piles of 'to be finished' might be getting a little out of hand...
I hate that books with female bodies on the cover often get labeled "chick-lit," which suggests they are somehow "less than" books that men will read. This novel got so-so reviews, but I loved how it explored the roles we play within our families, how we perceive others vs how they perceive us, and how all of that baggage can limit us.
You could say I thought it was a lot smarter than it got credit for.

Sometimes you just want an easy read.
This book follows Wheezy and her two daughters Martha and Claire plus her son's girlfriend Cleo. Claire is 29 and has moved back home because of finances and Martha is already living there. Cleo is in college. My favorite chapters were Martha's because I loved her mix of self-righteousness and social awkwardness. Cleo was good too. Overall, a good palate cleanser. Nothing earthshaking.
