I saw this novel in Barnes and Noble about six weeks ago, and I put a hold on it in the library. Now it has finally come in. Even though it was written back in 1965, it has once again become popular for two reasons: 1) It sounds like Trump, and 2) Apparently, Rachel Maddow had mentioned it (because it sounds like Trump).
Here's my mother's copy of NIGHT OF CAMP DAVID, a 1965 novel about a President who's gone mad -- chaotic, oblivious to our allies, cozy with our enemies, paranoid -- and one man's attempt to convince Washington before it's too late. Vintage Books has republished it.
A neat political thriller written in 1965 about a president who is seemingly losing his marbles. #foreshadowing
Thanks to Rachel Maddow I heard about this book. Published in 1965 about a president that is losing his mind. Great read!
