Today I put on my audiobook and sorted through all the cross stitch magazines and suchlike my aunt gave me. And hey, it turns out she consulted RCTN, the very newsgroup shop owner/sleuth Betsy Devonshire relies on!

I had to turn the book off to browse through these printouts (from 1997!). I figured I‘d recycle them since I‘m not a beginning stitcher, but there was actually a lot of good information here. Onto the Keeper pile they went.

Pickpick

This is one of the few series that I have read every single book. I think I enjoy them so much because they often feature cross stitching, which I love. I find these books comforting, like reading about an old friend. There was mostly Betsy in this one, not much of her friends. The mystery was interesting, and relied on clues from a woman with alzheimers to solve the case. This one also features punch needle embroidery which I have never done.

Pamwurtzler I like finding a good series. I often think about getting back into cross stitching, but it never lasts long. 7y
CassiM I used to cross stitch as a kid, even made my own patterns. I just (using that term kinda loosely) got back into it and of course jumped right in the deep end...a 2m long tablecloth for my bf's family for their family holiday (it's a Serbian thing 🙂) which included me having to design the pattern myself and hand draw it 😂😂😂 7y
