James "J.D." Dixon, Jr. is a party promoter who comes from a privileged background. Although he was given many of the tools to success, he chooses to forge his own path through life. It takes the police and the diary of his deceased girlfriend to help him finally realize that he has waited long enough to change the way he has been living and the weight of the burdens that he carried was much too heavy for any one person to bare.
