Mehso-so

Apparently all I needed to get my TBR down a bit was another mini lockdown here on the Isle of Man 🤔🙃

Anyway...

Interesting, quotable in parts, but very rambling...

I liked it enough to finish, and the idea of it being a transcript of his defence speech made it more interesting, but my word did it feel rambling throughout. He was clearly a very clever and potentially articulate man, but there were plenty of points where he lost my attention.

Pickpick

Founder of western philosophy Socrates was sentenced to death for corrupting the youth of Athens. This is his defense presented in court. The painting is The Death of Socrates by Jacques-Louis David.

Andrea4 And after reading it, one understands why they made him drink hemlock. 😂 8y
