This is seriously the best book I've read in 2016. These are literary translations of four Greek tragedies. In the introduction for each play finds connections to modern day war, prisons, and medical ethics. I also found after reading these that I wanted to return to the literal translations of the plays. This book grew my interest in something I thought I had little interest in. Finally, Heracles (Hercules) is an asshole:
