I was going to say this was only so-so, but it picked up about halfway through. I'm starting to like the various cast of characters more. I started this series because someone had mentioned it if you like J D Robb's books, but it doesn't have that sense of humor or snarky dialogue. It does, however, feature a cop in a relationship with a rich and powerful man, and how they try to handle the limelight while handling cases.
