so-so(1729) It's a novella about a young Christian gentleman who (checks notes) goes to a synagogue to check out the women, forcibly removes a young woman's head covering for a look at her face, harasses her until she agrees to a rendezvous with him, agrees to marry her only when she insists on it and even then only secretly because he knows his family won't approve -- and is the real victim when everything blows up.
