A story of the first female cabinet minister of America who was instrumental in proposing Social Security to be introduced. Although the book is marked as Fiction, it reads like a memoir, and was wonderful. A wee bit narcissistic though!

This was a very good book about an exceptionally strong woman. I know I wouldn‘t have made some of the choices that she did, especially when it came to work/life balance. I would always choose my family first, but there is no right or wrong. I loved learning about Francis Perkins and about FDR. I‘d never heard of Miss Perkins before, and was surprised to learn that she had so much to do with the development of our social security system.
I read this 4 book club. I didn‘t think I was going 2 like it @ 1st bc I‘m not the biggest historical fiction reader & I thought it would be technically written, but I love it! It was written in a way that was very accessible, even if you‘d never heard of Frances Perkins, which I barely had. It‘s amazing what she accomplished in her life & we should all be grateful for what she fought for. Even if you don‘t like historical fiction, read this one!
This was a very interesting and historically rich read that I truly enjoyed. This author honestly is one of my favorites when it comes to her characters and historic elements without swamping you with them 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I read this for a blog tour so can't leave my review until the 31st of this month.
I can say though that it's one of the best books I have ever read. I learned some things that I didn't know and that is always a plus
This book is about Frances Perkins. The first female cabinet member. What she did for the people back then was nothing short of wonderful.
A big FIVE star read for me.
This is a good read!
