If we‘re judging by number of books read, then R.L. Stine is hands down my favorite. I wasn‘t ever into Goosebumps, but I LOVED the Fear Street series. They were definitely my tweenage faves. I‘m thinking I might do a marathon reread of those books next October.
📖 32 books

Yet another Stine down for #Scarathlon2022
Out of the four stories in this book I think either The Overnight or Missing might be my favourite but I did enjoy them all.

FINALLY! My most anticipated #BucketList item.
This is my #ComfortFood I look forward to it every year and I usually only get one. I love a hot sandwich with the perfect gravy and, yes, ketchup and olives because...I just like it. It looks wrong and I get teased mercilessly because of it but I don't care. Paired with a good book *chefs kiss*
If I ever get put on Death Row this is my #LastMeal 💯

This is a fun throwback for anyone who read the Fear Street books when they came out! Expect the usual problematic tropes about oversexed boys and dangerous girls lol. But the nostalgia part is fun!
The stories mostly have build up and a lot of eerie tension before the big plot twist at the end. The creepy situations are not scary but still eerie enough to bring suspense and the stories were dark However the small romances in the stories were not written very well and the teenagery POV was a little unrealistic. The pacing for a couple of the stories was a little slow as because Stine used build up as a fear factor rather than constant action.
I was too wrapped up in this to remember to take a picture, but this was my bookish spooky viewing for the night. I'm not much of a slasher person (I like ghosts!) but this brought back so many great memories of inhaling these books as a kid.

I noticed that once any kid let's even the slightest bit loose, the caca hits the fan. I read these in my pre/ early teen year the first time. Going to blame R.L. Stine for always feeling the need to be in control. 🤔😜🤣
My husbands alarm went off at 4:30am and I have been wide awake since that time. Not a normal morning for me, but why not get up and enjoy some quiet before waking the kids up for school? Hope everyone has an amazing day? And for those in the Midwest stay cool in this heat.
Anybody else excited to relive their teenage years ! Re reading this great series because of the netflix movies That are currently on...great campy fun!
Anyone start this last night?? What did u think? I thought it was a bit childish
