I need mooooorrreeeee 😭😭😭
I enjoyed this story about how Dr. Quinzel becomes the infamous Harley Quinn, the right hand of the Joker, and I've been looking into reading more works by Sejic.
We have a friend over and my husband is grilling, but I‘m exhausted and have a bit of a headache. They‘re working the very last out of me in my last week at my current job. So, I‘m being a bit antisocial and reading some brain candy.
I've satisfied my curiosity with these. Harleen was the clear winner, though I'm biased towards her character. Joker v Riddler was...interesting. I'm taking a break from the disturbing landscape of Batman comics; I've no doubt I'll return at some point. 🦇
Thank you for this #Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView 😀
1️⃣ I‘m in the process of selling a house and finding another, so I‘ve been too exhausted to read much lately. 😮💨 A graphic novel might be easier to read, so I‘ll try the tagged book that the brilliant @Meaw_catlady gave me! 😊
2️⃣ I love playing symphonic metal while reading. Bands like Nightwish and Epica with their soaring vocals and dramatic compositions are the perfect soundtrack! 🎶
5/5 ⭐
I always wanted to know more about the Joker and Harley Quinn. This graphic novel was so well done. The story was so fascinating. The Joker is hell of a character to read about. A manipulative sociopath with a hint of heart. Harley was every bit of crazy that the Joker needed to help him escape.
So, I'm really not a big Harley Quinn fan. Or a fan of DC characters in general (aside from Wonder Woman and Batwoman). But this caught my eye at work so I decided to bring it home and give it a shot. HOLY CRAP THIS IS AMAZEBALLS. The artwork is completely gorgeous and I found Harley's origin story to be devastating and captivating. I think this is the best graphic novel I've read this year!
Are you proud of me, @DaveGreen7777 ? 😁💕
I just got a wonderful early birthday package from the wonderful @Meaw_catlady today, and it included this gorgeous hardcover copy of the “Harleen” graphic novel series! Thank you so much, Rachel, I‘ve wanted to read this for a long time! ❤️🖤
To celebrate, here I am trying to mimic Harley‘s grin on the cover... admittedly, Harley wears it much better than me! 😁😂
Harley Quinn is a hard character to love, but I do. She really epitomizes the reason I love Batman and DC. It‘s the psychology and the darkness behind her story that intrigues me. I ❤️ this ‘origin story‘ for her. It‘s unapologetic and it‘s in your face. The art is also gorgeous beyond words. One of my top graphic novel reads so far. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Everything about this book is beautiful.
The art and the stories from early days meeting the joker.
Plus a few cameos.
