I read this series out of order & had put this one off because Dylan was annoying in other books. He‘s much more likable in this. Definitely not my fave of the series but I liked it. #romantsy

Annabeth Albert always makes me cry. With her second military romance, she delves into grief, parenthood, and responsibility as her heroes explore their attraction and wrestle with emotions they aren't quite ready to process. It's hot, sweet, and deeply affecting.
That said, I didn't feel the usual INTENSE DRIVE to keep reading--but even an Annabeth Albert novel you can stand to put down every once in a while is pretty damned good.
1. Here's the trifle I made at Christmas. It's my own take on my grandma's recipe and it was frickin awesome.
2. AT ATTENTION in 4 words: widowed father loves again
3. My dentist was stymied because she COULD NOT find my wisdom teeth, so she sent me for a fancy whole-head X-Ray that confirmed I don't have any.
4. Kid Me loved Scooby Doo and The Racoons. Adult Me loves ATLA and Aldnoah.Zero.
5. I'm a Cancer. Cancerian?

🌟🌟🌟 (3 stars) Three Thoughts 1) a cute, quick story which is what I've come to expect from Annabeth Albert 2) the main characters could be a little frustrating at times 3) a book with kids where the kids didn't seem lifeless and fake
