#Naturalitsy

Time to choose our next read for Jan/Feb 2023
We had so many themes last time, it was difficult to make a decision! This time I suggest 1 theme - Water. This is completely open to interpretation. You can choose water bodies, water wildlife, ice, glaciers, weather, preservation etc. There are so many of us now, I do suggest we each have 1 recommendation only.

I'll close the comments on Sunday for voting next week.

Over to you...

Soscha I‘d love to be added, thank you! 🐳🌊 1y
AllDebooks @Soscha oh yay 🤗 a warm welcome x 1y
AllDebooks I'm choosing an older book from 2009 but one that's been on my tbr since then 1y
AllDebooks @Soscha use the #naturalitsy tag to follow our other events. We started in late August and choose a book to read over a 2 month period. Our first was Finding the Mother tree by Suzanne Simard. We are currently reading 1y
PuddleJumper Is it non-fiction books? 1y
LeeRHarry I‘m not above a shameless plug for a friend‘s book 😏 1y
Yuki_Onna Recommending the following: One of the few non-fiction/memoir/adventure/travel books I thoroughly enjoyed when I first read it. It's not only about catching a Greenland Shark (for scientific reasons (mostly)), but also about life at the Norwegian coast, marine life, living on an island etc.
Its German title translates as 'The book of the sea' - and I got tons of fun interesting sea facts from it.

AllDebooks @PuddleJumper not necessarily. Most of what we recommend is non-fiction but there are a huge number of fiction and poetry books with nature themes at their core. 1y
Blackink_WhitePaper There 2 books on my TBR on water. First priority is A long walk to water. Have heard it is a must read book. But since it is a short book I also suggest the another one 1y
rockpools I want to read ALL of these suggestions! The Edge of the Sea is one of my all time favourites, but I‘m going to put forward another Rachel Carson book. I‘ve never read this and her writing is gorgeous. 1y
rockpools Also, it seems to be more readily available now than last time I posted about it 🫣 1y
AllDebooks @rockpools me too, all great suggestions. It's going to be a tough choice to choose one. I suppose we could squeeze a few into the challenge 🙂 1y
AllDebooks Thank you for all the amazing recommendations so far. I'm leaving this post open until Sunday for anyone else wishing to make suggestions. 1y
ElizaMarie Please add me. I am thinking about my next year's reads/plans/goals etc. This might be something right up my alley. 1y
AllDebooks @ElizaMarie that's wonderful, welcome. We're also having a #Naturalitsybingo challenge running through the year. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfCeL7nB2SWTai9iJst9ZiVjyBeYX5MRm4sQ1X8... 1y
